What Participants Need to Know:

$25 entry fee required

Limited to the first 20 teams

Competition Date: Saturday, May 2, 2026 Rain or Shine!

Polk County Missouri Museum (201 W. Locust St., Bolivar, MO)

Check-in at 7 a.m.

Meat Distribution at 8-8:30 a.m.

Participants will cook three types of beef – one 3-4 lb. tri-tip, 2 ribeye steaks and 2 lbs. hamburger

Prizes Given Include:

• 1st and 2nd place – hamburger (judging begins at 12:30 p.m.)

• 1st and 2nd place – ribeye steaks (judging begins at 1:15 p.m.)

• 1st and 2nd place – tri-tip (judging begins at 2:00 p.m.)

• 2026 Missouri Beef Days Beef Cook-Off Grand Champion

• People’s Choice Award – Hamburger Category

• People's Choice Award – Ribeye Category

• People's Choice Award – Tri-Tip Category

Competition Rules:

1. Check-in by 7:00 a.m.

2. Meat Distribution Meeting 8-8:30 a.m.

3. Competition meat only. No outside cuts of meat. BEEF ONLY! Pork/bacon is strictly prohibited, and any violation will result in disqualification.

4. Rubs, injections and marinades are on the team’s dime.

5. Competition meats turned in on time. (NO EXCEPTIONS)

6. Your area is your responsibility to clean.

7. Dispose of anything hot in the proper containers.

By registering for the 2026 MBD Beef Cook-Off, participants agree to abide by the rules as outlined above without exception.
